Sale-a-bration February Workshop card

Here is a card that we've done at my Sale-a-bration workshops this month. It features the Polka Dot Punches Stamp set, Lots of Dots designer series paper and the certainly celery ribbon, all available for free until March 31, with a $50 purchase. I love how these three things work together!!

Botanical Blooms Card

Here is a simple card made with the Botanical Blooms set that is free during Sale-a-bration with a $50 purchase. I love how clean and simple this is. I used So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive cardstocks and inks. I used the Sanded background stamp on all the layers, using the same ink as the paper color. I used the spritzer with the chocolate chip marker to add some more texture to the images. Love it! Hope you do too!

Sale-a-Bration Polka Dot Punches

I love the Polka Dot Punches stamp set. It's so versatile. And I love using it with the paper you can earn for free during Sale-a-bration. And if you change the paper, you get a completely different look. For this card I used the new SU Specialty paper, which is totally awesome! Love the weight of it and the texture! And I love these colors together. My friend who is having a baby also loves these colors and is going more this way for her baby's room!! So, I thought this would make a perfect baby card for her. I used the Chit Chat Rubons for the greeting.

Hope card

Hey, everyone! Hope you had a good weekend. This is a quick card that I made last week for my dh to send someone. He has been encouraging someone who has an illness and every time he sends her a card it has this HOPE stamp, but I change the design. This stamp is from the set called Illuminations. It has four great sentiments, but the best thing is that it's an easy set to create elegant cards with. It doesn't take much to make a card look good with this set. And the flourishes look great embossed.

I used Illuminations stamp set, pink pirouette cardstock, riding hood red cardstock, the scallop lace edge punch, Candy Lane designer series paper, and whisper white craft ink (but I really needed Very Vanilla craft ink--it's goin' on my next order :) and embossing powder and heat gun.

Blueberry Box of Cards

This is a small bag of cards to thank my friend for holding a workshop. It uses the retired paper Blueberry something. I used Good Friends and Petal Pizzaz stamp sets. I hope my friend enjoys them :)

Have a Honey of a Day treat ;)

This project was one that I was looking forward to making. It's pretty easy and self explanatory. The topper was made with the Top Note die. The bee and sentiment are from the Just Buzzin' By stamp set. If you have any questions, please ask!

The hardest part about it was finding the Bit O Honey candy. I struck out a lot! I ended up finding it at Family Dollar and Dollar Tree. My mother also said Cracker Barrel has it. Just FYI, Dollar Tree seems to have a lot of the old time candy. I found the pixie sticks there too.

I apologize. My blog is going to be quiet this week. I've got a lot of personal stamping and scrapping to do. I'm making a baby paper bag album. And I'm making baby shower invitations. Both for different people :) It's soo exciting that all my young friends are having babies :) And I've got a hostess gift to make for this Friday's party. I'll post all those later after I've given them to the recipients. I'm looking forward to sharing those with you, but until then, please know I haven't disappeared.

Just Buzzin By filmstrip card

This set is soo cute!! The little bees are perfect for putting in a filmstrip. I got the idea for the background from someone on Splitcoaststampers. I stamped the images I wanted in Summer Sun onto Summer Sun paper, then I took the white gel pen and outline & highlighted certain areas. It is a neat effect.

I haven't forgotten the bleach stamping video that I promised you. I've actually made my card for it already and have tried filming the video several times, but I kept getting interrupted--phone calls etc!! I hope to refilm it tomorrow. So stay tuned :)

Friends 24-7 Bird card

One night this week I got to spend a couple of hours making cards. You've seen two of them so far this week. Here is the third one. I was playing around, trying to get a good card for class next week. I'm gonna fiddle some more; so there is a good possibility that this is going to change a bit. I've got an idea to add something else to the card. But it's still good as is, hunh? If you look closely you'll see that there is a glassy glaze covering the bird and it's been cracked and aged. It's a fun technique to do :) Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

Faux Silk Technique

The other night I made 4 very simple and quick cards. One was posted yesterday, today is one, and two more to follow.

This was my first time trying the faux silk technique. It was really easy. I colored my stamp with SU markers and stamped the image onto white wrapping tissue. Then I crumbled the tissue into a ball and straighted it out. I used a glue stick and rubbed glue onto some whisper white cardstock and then smoothed the tissue over the cardstock. I used scissors to easily trim off the tissue paper edges hanging over the cardstock. Super easy and quick!!

Friends 24-7 Card

I love the new set called Friends 24-7. It has both great images and sentiments. This image I think would work well for birthday, get well, sympathy, hello, etc... I love these feminine spring colors; certainly celery, pink pirouette and pretty in pink. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

Sesame Street Punch Card

My daughter's friend turned 18 and we made her this card. My daughter is giving it to her with some big girl pants--Pull Ups. Then, she's giving her the real gift :) Anyway, this was a really easy card to make using the Scallop Punch and different sized circle punches. The greeting is a Chit Chat rub-on. The other part of the rub on is on the inside. "Birthdays are awesome. And so are you!" I LOVE<3>

If you like this card, make sure you sign up for my Feb. & March punch classes that are free with a punch purchase. And you'll also get a free punch class by mail if you order a punch online.
