Life has been busy and I haven't posted for a few days. I went to a baby shower today for a dear friend. I can't wait til her baby arrives. Then, three more of my friends will have babies by the beginning of summer. It's gonna be exciting!! I can't wait to hold these babies :) I love the smell of a baby. Is that weird?
Anyway, I never thought I'd be making baby cards with my own children so grown up, but not at the baby age. So, I don't have any baby stamp sets. But I was able to use our punches to make a card. I love SU Punches!! This card was inspired by one on SCS.

This little tin holds six cinnamon candles. My daughter loves candles and she chose these for the tin. I used a piece of cardstock to create a divider between the candles. I decorated it with the A Happy Heart set. I just stamped the love tic tac toe in real red on real red cardstock and outlined some of the hearts with the white gel pen. This was a quick and easy project.

Hey, everyone! Sorry I never posted a project yesterday. Here is a card that I worked on Monday. Isn't it cute? Inside, I stamped the greeting from A Happy Heart, it says "Wishing you a happy heart." I found the penguin idea from Dawn Olchefske's site. Anyway, these were fun to make :) The eyes of the penguins are from the new heart to heart punch. You're going to see this punch used a lot in making little characters. I've seen the hearts used for boots on an elf! So, it's not just hearts!!! Stampin Up punches are the best!! So versatile!! I'll be showing you some more things with punches next week. I am starting a PUNCH CLUB at the end of Feb. It's free! You just have to purchase a 15.95 punch each club meeting! The same is for my online customers. If you purchase a punch from me ANYTIME, I'll send you instructions and paper pieces for creating the club projects from that month.

I'll be busy the rest of the day running errands. I'll try to take a picture this afternoon of the cards I made last night, but I won't be able to post it until tonight after the Civil Air Patrol banquet.

Hey, everyone!! I just wanted to update you on the Ribbon Shares and Designer Paper Shares. You will see links on the right of this blog so you can immediately go to the specifics of the shares. BUT they now include free Sale-a-bration items. There are still some spots left. I am hoping that these will fill up during the Valentine's Day Class and I can place the order on Feb. 1st. If you aren't local, you can still take part in them, but you'll have a small shipping fee that you can find in the details of the original post. Email me if you're interested.
Anyway, I found out something that shocked me with this catalog. I'm RETRO!!! First, I love all the retro style sets. But they also have a greetings set called Really Retro--and guess what???? I say all those things in that set!!! 8-O Retro is NOT the same as old, RIGHT??? And since retro is "in", then I must be cool!! Phew!!
This card uses one of the retro sets called Just Buzzin' By. It's such a cute set. It's a fun one to color too :) ONE TIP when you're color is to follow the shading already put into the art work. Like on the hive, I used a darker ink to follow the hive lines that were already drawn in for me. Can you see that in the picture?

This is a card that holds a 3 oz. Ghiradelli chocolate bar. You pull the ribbon at the top and the candy bar comes out. You push the candy bar back in and the ribbon disappears with the candy bar til you have the bow at the top.
I made a video tutorial for this card. I hope you enjoy it :)

Here is another Illuminations card. It's very similar to the Hope one that I posted earlier. My husband picked this set out for me for Christmas. He's put in requests for several cards from this set.
I like how this one turned out. The designer papers are ones from Christmas packs that I was trying to use up. I think it turned out fine and doesn't look Christmasy at all. I love the double sided paper!!
The new catalog goes live today!! I can't wait!! I get to order two free sets that I earned last quarter and I've been holding out so I could order from the new catalog. I'm so excited!! I think I'm gonna get Friends 24-7 and Good Friend. It's soo hard to chose from this catlaog. I'm glad Sale-a-bration is coming soon too!!!
The ribbon shares and paper shares have spots, so please let me know if you're interested :) Have a great day!!! Happy Stamping!!----Lisa

This is a little treat bag that I made for my beautician :) Inside, I put some Starbucks chocolate!! MMMM...mmmmm...
This box was quick and easy and used about 1.5 sheets of cardstock and a small few small pieces of dsp. I'll have to look to see if I can rediscover the tutorial I found for it and link you to it. BTW, don't you love the Maine Blueberry Designer Series Paper?? I'm soo sad that it's going to retire. I love blue and green combos. I'm using it in stationary sets that you'll see posted in a few weeks.

Have you already figured out how to make the card I showed you yesterday? If not, you can watch this tutorial. Plus you can pick up some tricks on how to alter chipboard and a trick for the scalloped edge featured on the card.
Have fun stamping!!! And don't foget to leave me some lovin'!!
Monday, January 12, 2009
This card was created using a technique developed by Laura Fredrickson, a consultant from Red Deer, Alberta Canada and it was featured in Stampin' Success, a demonstrator magazine.
I thought this looked like a great, fun technique the first time I saw it and have been waiting for some time to try it out. I made this card yesterday using this technique. It's pretty easy. I think it would be fun to try with different shapes, like stars. Tomorrow I'll have a link to a video tutorial so you can try this at home :)

This is a card that DH asked me to make. He bought me the Illumination set for Christmas. It's one of his favorite sets that I own, other than the nautical ones. So, I made this card for him as he's sending a note to someone. I thought I'd post this until my pizza box card dries :) Enjoy
I am offering free shipping on all orders $50 and over. This is a special through me and not SU. If you order through my online store, the discount won't appear. You must contact me and I will process your order with the discount. You can send me an email by clicking "contact me" in on the right hand side. This offer ends on midnight Eastern time on Sunday.
I made a mini pizza box with matching cards today but am waiting on some things to dry. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow. And my next tutorial will go up on Monday. Anybody have suggestions on what they'd like to learn? If so, leave me a comment :)
We're going to make these three items at the January 29th Valentine's class. This class includes a mini mailbox, a Ghiradelli chocolate holder and a card for someone special. The class cost is $10. Call me today to reserve your spot!!!

Boy, oh boy! I don't know why but I had to film this tutorial several times. Okay, maybe I do know why. I talk to much!! I keep running over the 10 minutes allowed by youtube. I think I need to get myself an egg timer to keep myself on track. In the future, you can chuckle as you hear the tick tick tick of the timer. And don't fall off your chair when you hear me talk 100mph for the last 30 seconds.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it and give it a try. The bag-a-lope, silly. Not falling off the chair laughing at me.
I've got to go. I'm listening to sneak peeks of the new catalog. And they're sooooo good.
Oops .Don't forget to check out the retiring list and the inventory reduction sale. Details below or click on the link on the left at my SU site. The offer for free shipping for orders over $50 ends on Sunday. You must contact me if you want to take advantage of this offer!

This is a bag that I made out of a large 9x12 envelope. You can fit a decent sized gift in this bag. I'll do a video tutorial tomorrow showing you how to do this. It's very easy :) And it's great because your gift bag can coordinate with your card and maybe even with the gift.
I used the Eastern Bloom stamp set and in color inks to decorate this bag. Don't you love the in colors? The greeting uses the Best Yet hostess set that we'll soon say goodbye to :( I love that set. :( But on the happier side, there will be new fun things to take its place!!
Make sure you come back tomorrow. I'll be making my bag with the in colors AND a sneak peek stamp set that will be available new Spring/Summer 09 catalog. It's a very cool set!!
See you tomorrow. Until then, happy stamping!!!

Aren't these cute? They're little 3x3 greetings that hold a Ghiradelli chocolate. I love the dark chocolate raspberry ones---yum, yum!! Ignore the chocolate smudges. I don't know how that happened! :)
I used A Happy Heart to design these. I love this set! I've used the dandelion flower with the hearts (isn't that cute??) a lot. I love the tic-tac-toe too. I used that on my DH anniversary card (which I posted back in Sept 08). It's a very cute stamp set. It's in the mini so it's in risk of going bye-bye come June 18th :(
I used riding hood red and pink pirouette for these. I love that combination!!
I can't claim the genius for the configuration of the card to hold chocolate. I learned how to make the chocolate holder from Chic-n-scratch. You can view her cute blog here. http://www.chicnscratch.typepad.com/
Go give it a try!!

These 2-4-6-8 boxes have been around for a while. Here is my take on them, using the Love You Much stamp set! This is definitely a project that you can mass produce--it's safe for your pocketbook and your time management :)
I hope you'll give this a try. It's really easy! If you give it a try, send me a link to your picture or email me your picture and I'll put it up on the blog. :)
PS--I'm still working on my videography. If you have any suggestions, email me :)

Here is another card made with the Love You Much Bundle. It's very similar to the front of the lip balm holder I showed in the tutorial! I love this set :)
Keep visiting! I've got a lot more things made with my Valentines Sets, my preview sets, and my Christmas present sets :) Each day it's hard, deciding which thing to share with you. But we're starting school Monday, so at least I'll have a cushion if I miss a day of stamping ---gasp :)
Saturday, January 3, 2009
This stamp set, Sweet Stems, is one I got as a sneak peek for demonstrators. Isn't it cute? This is a fun one to stamp!! It's quick and easy to color. And the pink and green Raspberry Tart papers are really bright and wild! I love them!!
This stamp set and papers will be available in the new Spring/Summer 09 idea book/catalog. Order yours today!!!! They're just $5. And if you're not local, I can ship it anywhere in the US via Priority Mail for another $5. Based upon the preview stamp sets I got from the catalog, I think it's gonna be a good one :)
Keep visiting, as I've got more Sneak Peeks and more Love You Much bundle projects to show you all.

I made this card with the Love You Much (LYM) set. It features the in colors and can be used any time of the year. The base is Baja Breeze and I stamped the 3 heart stamp with versamark to create a tone on tone background. The Riding Hood Red polka dot paper is from the Candy Lane designer series paper which is included in the LYM bundle. I stamped the sentiment in Baja Breeze and used blender pens and the in color ink pads to color the image. And then I used a Filigree Flower brad (smaller one, the package has 2 sizes). I love these Filigree brads!! To finish it off, I tied Old Olive ribbon along the side. Although Old Olive isn't an in color, it goes well with Kiwi Kiss and the other in colors, so it works :)
Hope you enjoyed this. In the days to come, I have many more cards and 3-D items to show you that I've made with this set. This is one of those easy sets to create with! Love it!
Keep checkin' my blog daily. I've been creating with my Spring/Summer 09 preview stamp sets this week and I've got some pictures that I'll be posting of what I've made. It'll be a sneak peak before the new catalog is released on the 19th!!!!

Stampin UP has created an awesome Valentine's Day Bundle. It includes a new stamp set (Love You Much $25.95), a new Designer Series Paper (Candy Lane $9.95), and a new 3 heart punch ($15.95), all of which will appear in the Spring/Summer 2009 catalog. The Bundle is specially priced at $41.48 which is a discount of 20%. It's a limited time offer, only available until January 31, 2008.
The set is very versatile. Click here to see the full bundle and details. http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/Valentines_Bundle_1208US.pdf
Below is a tutorial using this set to create a Lip Balm Holder. I've made a lot of other cute things with this set that I'll be posting this next week.
Contact me if you'd like to order this!
PART ONE IS BELOW! This is the second part of the tutorial. I sort of stumbled around at the end, but I'm just so glad that I actually made my first tutorial!!! :)
This is my first attempt at a video tutorial. I posted it on Youtube but I've got it on the blog too. It runs a bit long and so I had to break it into two segments. I'll get better as I go along :)
